FAQ

Questions before you install.

How does annual licensing work?

Your first year is included with purchase. After the first year, the license renews automatically at the published annual renewal rate unless cancelled. Reminder notices begin 30 days before renewal, and an active license is required to continue using production and output functions.

Does it require Adobe Acrobat?

No. PDF Press Pilot is a standalone 64-bit Windows application.

Can I test my own production PDFs?

Yes. The 7-day trial is designed to be full-featured so you can evaluate real jobs before purchasing.

Can one license key be installed on multiple computers?

Only up to the number of activations included with your license. The Single PC license allows 1 computer, the 2-PC license allows 2, and the Print Shop license allows 5. Each activation is registered to a specific computer. If you replace a workstation, deactivate the old PC before activating the replacement.

Does it overwrite my source PDF?

No. The production tools create new output PDFs rather than overwriting the source in place.

What happens if I do not renew?

When the annual license expires, PDF Press Pilot remains available for license management, but production/output functions are disabled until the license is renewed and validated.

Does activation require an internet connection?

Online activation and periodic license validation require access to the licensing service. Normal PDF processing remains local on your Windows computer.

Who is PDF Press Pilot for?

Commercial printers, digital print shops, quick printers, in-plants and prepress operators who want focused PDF production tools without a large enterprise workflow system.
